This role is built for a creative and conceptual thinker who loves turning insights into strong, sellable ideas. You’ll work at the intersection of Brand Marketing and Partnerships, helping to develop programs that connect brands to Chiefs Kingdom in meaningful ways across content, social, digital and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

You will turn raw analytics into actionable strategies, telling us exactly what our audience wants and when they want to see it. As a Media Consultant, you are the face of NC State Student Media. You’ll act as a strategic partner for local and national brands, helping them reach the Wolfpack community while building a professional portfolio in sales, marketing, and relationship management. Reporting to the General Manager, Media Consultants (MCs) are the driving force behind our revenue goals. You aren't just selling ads; you’re providing consultative marketing solutions. You will manage the entire sales lifecycle from cold-calling and prospecting to closing deals and providing post-campaign analysis.

 

MCs must be effective communicators with the ability to develop sales proposals, make presentations, and professionally represent Student Media in client meetings, on the phone, and through correspondence. MCs must have outstanding knowledge of products sold, the associated prices, and what might provide effective opportunities for prospective clients.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsive Communication: Maintain a one-business-day response time for all client emails and internal team messages.

  • CRM Management: Keep our Client Relationship Management (CRM) system updated daily with your latest notes, communication logs, and client contact info.

  • Professionalism: Serve as a helpful, professional point of contact for both your clients and your fellow Business Office teammates.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to conduct 80+ cold calls a day

  • Willingness to travel to the Atlanta, GA, or Phoenix, AZ city centers

  • High level of interest in the IoT space

  • Excitement around growing a sales career

  • Comfortability in a dynamic, customer-facing environment

  • Previous cold-calling experience

  • Motivation to be in a goal-oriented, quota-carrying role

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
